Fakes

Its alright to want to become "the next big thing" but don't think you can achieve this goal by stepping on the memories of those who came before you.

I am sick and tired of people who think that they can sing or perform, bad mouthing the older generation who worked tirelessly so that we could have an easier time. They quickly forget the many who had to enter clubs and hotels through the back door because they had the wrong skin tone or those who were treated badly and even imprisoned because they had the wrong sexual orientation. Now instead of talent we have half naked little girls who think that because they have a beautiful face they are the next best thing.

Remember, "real artists" do not have to use "props" they do not have to rely on synthesizers that change their voices, they have the talent and when they get up on the stage what you see is the REAL THING.

The next time you want to shout about how good you are or that you are the next best thing since toast have some freaking humility and take a step back. YOU ARE REALLY NOT ALL THAT. What are you going to do when you don't have the body to shake anymore, and your looks fade, will you still be pulling audiences in? will they come to your shows and support you or will you be a faded has been watching from the crowd.

When Patti LaBell gets up on stage or Barbara Streisand, (who by the way has wicked stage fright) the sing from the heart and because they have the natural God given talent not because someone once told them that they were cute or the next best thing.

Check yourself.

Tyra

Ok, I am sitting here watching Tyra and these people who write nasty messages about celebrities on the internet. We are all human beings, it needs to stop. I have been lucky so far to only receive a couple of negative messages on the internet, one from a lonely young lady and one from a family member!!. Whoever makes the comment remember that someone could say something about you, how would you feel?

I am not perfect but I try to live my life and treat others the way I would like to be treated. It only takes a second to say or write something that cannot be taken back. Remember that.

STOP

Many of us go through our lives and never have an ailment, never have a child that's ill and live to a ripe old age. If we stop and think about the suffering in this world, maybe we could give something back.

I was born with disabilities which made me a little more in tune with others who were far more disabled than myself. My youngest child was born with cerebral palsy, I did not look at this as a challenge, it was just life. My son is now preparing to enter university in the UK and I am still disabled but pursuing my dreams and further my education. We spent most of the past fifteen years helping UCP in the USA to raise funds for childrens hospitals.

When you have the time just sit back and think.. It does not take much, upload a picture of your smile that's all it takes. Check me at http://www.socialvibe.com/CoraleenaEllis. A dollar for every smile will be donated to a wonderful charity.
